Since 1992, Allied Power Tools has been providing sales, service, repairs, and calibration for a wide range of quality Plumbing Press Tools, Plastic Welding Equipment and Custom Tooling solutions to customers Australia-wide.

We are a small business who takes pride in excellent customer service and efficient after sales support. Our service technicians are adequately trained and certified by leading manufacturers to competently service, calibrate and supply new tools and spare parts to a wide range of trades and industries.

Located in Knoxfield Victoria, our building features a retail showroom, training room where we conduct application and product training and testing and a modern workshop to carry out calibrations, service and repairs.

The Role

Allied Power Tools is currently searching for a service technician who has a real passion for tools and trades. Full time work arrangements is preferred. Please feel free to discuss your working hours requirements with us.

This position will suit a motivated individual with strong attention to detail and a focus on good customer service. Working with various team members, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a high paced team environment. Training and any tools/ equipment required will be provided on the job.

Your Responsibilities Include

  • Delivering quality repairs and service in a timely manner
  • Using various diagnosis tools for troubleshooting and fault finding
  • Using technical manuals to determine replacement parts and reassembly of tools
  • Providing reliable and prompt technical support to team members
  • Using a computer program to record and track service jobs and repairs

Skills & Experience Highly Regarded Include

  • Has worked with or has experience with tools
  • Electrical qualifications or fabricating skills (not required but highly regarded)
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude or the understanding of tools
  • Dismantling and reassembling tools
  • Ability to problem solve and diagnose faults
  • Clear communicator between team members and customers
  • Strong personal work ethic and ability to work autonomously
  • Understanding of OH&S practices and the ability to work in accordance with these
